NeoCon is one of the largest design exposition and conferences for commercial interiors. Each year, the conference is held in Chicago and features thousands of new, innovative products from over 700 showrooms and vendors.

While no one from our office was able to attend NeoCon in Chicago, Sara from our office had the chance to attend a Post NeoCon event in the Bay Area hosted by IIDA Northern California Chapter, which featured a sampling of the new designs launched at NeoCon by local vendors. Here are some of our favorites from the show:

Knoll and Fizflet have partnered up to create some fun and funky felt floor and panel options.

The hanging panels come in many different designs and colorways. We think they would make a great room divider for a commercial space like the example from FizFelt’s website (above).

In addition to new hanging panels, Fizfelt has even started to make floor coverings out of thick, 100% wool felt.

There were even some rugs in fun shapes like the Polka Dot rug (shown above in red).

Another new flooring option that we had our eye on was the Hexagon floor tiles from Shaw Contact Group. And, because Shaw currently leads the industry in carpet reclamation, we were even more intrigued.

Vitra Hal Chair

Last, but not least, the Vita Hal Chair was very cute and very comfortable since the back of the chair flexed.

As an added bonus, the event was hosted by Porcelanosa’s showroom, so we were able to take a look at all of the bath accessories they offer.

Porcelanosa Koan Tub

Although we regularly use Porcelanosa tiles, we were excited to see some of their new plumbing fixtures and bath tubs as the Koan tub (above).
