Our Torres project is almost complete! In July, we finished the wood floor installation, finished building the steam shower on the lower level of the home and installed the kitchen cabinets.
Above is a view from the dining room looking towards the living room.
Remember when there was a huge fireplace in this spot?
The fireplace was replaced with a large window which lets so much more light in and makes the space feel more open and airy. A new, more efficient gas fireplace was added to the far wall of the living room (on the right-hand side in the photo above) and a slider was added to separate the living room from a remodeled, outdoor patio.
Reclaimed teak floors were installed in July as well complete with radiant heating beneath.
The IKEA kitchen cabinets were re-used from the initial remodel back at the beginning of this year along with many of the appliances.
On the lower level of the home, the cement was poured for the floor in the guest bathroom steam shower.
The tile work and board formed concrete was completed in July as well. Don’t the anodized aluminum windows look great against the white tile from Waterworks?
In the master bathroom, the tub and tub filler from the initial remodel of the home was re-used. A new, open shower was installed in the master bath. You can see the flush floor drain in the far right of this photo.
We look forward to sharing the completed project!
